Position: SENIOR SALES AGENT (x1)

BRIEF SUMMARY OF TASKS:

The position supports the achievement of Sales goals relating to profitable growth and secure new business. The product portfolio includes Group Health, Individual Health and additional products as they are introduced and direct coordinate, and review activities in sales operations.

MAIN TASKS:

  • Identification of potential clients/prospects.
  • Making presentations to corporate clients/prospects.
  • Closing the sale.
  • Identify and prospect new retail and broker business segment.
  • Manage after sales relating to retail and broker business segment.
  • Handling the transition process for newly acquired policies between sales and service team.
  • Preparation of sales reports.
  • Handle inquiries, qualify leads and ensure appropriate attention of customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Issuing quotes and invoices to prospects and clients.
  • Conducting sales presentations and product awareness session in the market.
  • Establishing new sales channels and recruitment of external Sales Agents.
  • Managing and supporting Insurance Brokers in acquiring new business and in servicing and retaining the existing business portfolio.

OTHER TASKS:

  • Perform any other sales duties as may be assigned to you by your superiors from time to time.

GENERAL PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

  • Develop ability to work without constant direct supervision.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
  • Assist in all areas of Strategis operation as requested by management.
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the Strategis that require attention.
  • Product knowledge.

  • Prospect follow ups.
  • Updating Sales Reports.
  • Sales presentation as well as member education presentations.
  • Preparation and timely submission of proposals and tender documents.

EDUCATION INCLUDING SPECIALISED TRAINING:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Studies or Advanced Diploma (Marketing).
  • Insurance studies will be an added advantage.
  • Customer Service Courses.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Three years’ experience in Sales/Customer Service.
  • Experience in Insurance will be an added advantage.
